A Unique Ministry

The Lazarus Project exists to aid in the practical needs of victims and survivors of abuse. Unlike most ministries, it is not evangelistic, nor is its primary focus on teaching or preaching.

The Lazarus Project seeks to portray the heart of Jesus Christ in practical ministry, by being His hands and feet to those who have been broken and battered.

“Christ has no body here on earth but yours,
No hands but your hands, no feet but yours.
It is through your eyes that
He must look out in mercy on the world.
He needs your feet to go about doing good.
Yours must be His hands raised to bless.”

—St. (Mother) Theresa

By walking alongside victims in the valley of human need, victims who might never have considered themselves worthy of His love are restored to faith and right relationship with Him.

The Lazarus Project endeavors to live out the compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ, who wept for the lost, but also walked among them. With the heart of selfless service, advocates and volunteers with the Lazarus Project pour themselves out to His hurting children, and while doing so, minister His grace and love in the midst of the most hopeless of circumstances.
